Canada Home was built between 1824 and 1827 to designs by Sir Robert Smirke, the designer of the British Museum. It was originally utilized per Union Club & a Royal College of Physicians. A Canadian government acquired the building inside 1923. A building under went restoration act within 1993, & was officially reopened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1996. To commemorate a re-opening, a detachment from either the Tertiary Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry came to London in 1998 mounted the Queen's Guard at Buckingham Palace.
